THE "Of All The Things" New Awareness Tool LAUNCHES Ahead of Hoarding Awareness Week 2026

To coincide with Hoarding Awareness Week, 11th - 15th May 2026, we have launched a new website, a hoarding awareness toolkit, and a resource hub based around our award-winning short Of All The Things for organisations and professionals navigating the complexities of hoarding disorder.

The launch arrives as the film continues its successful festival run, with international screenings at Au Contraire Festival - Quebec, MENTAL - Lisbon, and Go Mental - Berlin. The awareness tool aligns with this year's landmark national campaign: "National Guidelines for Hoarding Support: What does standardised support look like to you?"

Shifting the Narrative through Lived Experience

The focus for this year's Hoarding Awareness Week campaign is to continue the conversation around the need for national guidelines for hoarding support, following the UK Parliament’s first-ever debate on hoarding disorder in October 2025. The "Of All The Things" awareness tool provides a unique way to continue the discussion on how to approach hoarding.

“While support is rightly focused on the individual with hoarding behaviours, a full home often casts a long shadow over the whole family,” the project creators explain. “We wanted to shine a light on their experience, helping to navigate these complex relationships so families can find a way to better understand and support each other.”

The film, directed by Steff Lee and produced by Bella Tomlinson at Kino Bino, has already become a significant catalyst for empathy and understanding:

  • Official Selection for 18 film festivals globally

  • Winner of 3 awards

  • Nominated for ‘Best Animation’ at the Royal Television Society Midlands Award.

The project’s focus on lived experience mirrors the theme of the upcoming HoardingUK Annual Conference, which this year asks a crucial question regarding national guidelines: "Who's the 'Guide'?" As HoardingUK works in partnership with professionals to help the UK government develop coherent guidelines, it is championing user-led engagement. They stress that true support must include all voices: people with hoarding behaviours, professionals, and the informal support community of friends and family.

The website introduces the Hoarding Awareness Tool, a comprehensive digital package designed for housing teams, charities, adult safeguarding teams, local authorities, and blue light services. To ensure the project provides tangible help, every purchase of the tool includes a donation to HoardingUK to support their ongoing advocacy and vital work.

Kino Bino hopes this new tool will help organisations that encounter people with hoarding behaviours and encourage workable solutions for all involved. The film’s journey and mission have been championed by a dedicated network of leading UK organisations; alongside HoardingUK, the project has received vital support and backing from Holistic Hoarding, Clouds End CIC, and Hoarding Disorders UK.

“As a long-term supporter of the film, I’ve seen how ‘Of All The Things’ captures the emotional complexity of hoarding with incredible sensitivity; their support tool transforms this powerful storytelling into a vital asset for professionals to build empathy and navigate those difficult, necessary conversations with families.” - Kayley Hyman - Holistic Hoarding

Whether used in a professional setting or by front-line teams looking to "break the ice," the film and its accompanying resources are designed to open up conversations on connection and recovery.
