BBC Bitesize helps students with homework, revision, and learning from KS1 through to GCSE by providing free educational videos, study guides, interactive activities, and quizzes
BRIEF
The client required a series of animated GIFs to introduce their new GCSE quizzes and populate feedback screens.
The graphics had to be bright and engaging for KS4 students (ages 14 to 16) to encourage interaction during revision. They also needed a set of simple icons to highlight crucial learning points across their guides.
RESULTS
We delivered a set of fun, appealing character GIFs and clean educational icons that enhanced student focus and made digital revision more interactive.
• Character Design: 2D characters shaped by student panel feedback to resonate with teenagers.
• Character Animation: Playful, short-form GIF loops that celebrate user progress and keep students motivated throughout quizzes.
• Educational Icons: Simple, intuitive graphics placed across GCSE guides to help students quickly spot essential revision points. Designed to fit within the BBC Bitesize brand guidance.
• Accessibility: Clear geometry and bold colours designed to maintain high readability across all digital screen sizes.
